LooLoo Herbal Dental Gel (Neem) — Ayurvedic Oral Care, Clinically Supported
A premium fluoride-free dental gel rooted in Ayurvedic and Unani herbal tradition. LooLoo Herbal Dental Gel combines the antibacterial potency of Neem with a synergistic blend of botanical actives — Pippali, Jaifal, and Alum — to deliver triple-action protection against bacteria, plaque, and gum inflammation. 100% vegetarian. Free from fluoride, parabens, triclosan, and animal-derived ingredients.
Key Ingredients
- Neem (Azadirachta indica) — Nature's most studied oral antibacterial; inhibits plaque-forming and odour-causing bacteria at the source.
- Pippali (Piper longum — Long Pepper) — Traditionally used in Unani medicine for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, providing relief from gum inflammation and minor toothache.
- Jaifal (Myristica fragrans — Nutmeg) — Contains eugenol and other phenolic compounds with documented antibacterial activity against cariogenic (cavity-causing) organisms.
- Alum (Potassium Aluminium Sulphate) — A natural astringent that tightens gum tissue, reduces bleeding, and acts as a gentle stain remover.
Benefits
- Antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic protection in a single formula
- Fights plaque accumulation and prevents new cavity formation
- Tightens and strengthens gum tissue with natural Alum
- Soothes sensitivity and relieves minor toothache
- Freshens breath by targeting odour-causing bacteria at the root
- Free from fluoride, parabens, triclosan, and animal-derived components
- Suitable for vegetarians and those following natural or Unani wellness protocols
Clinical & Scientific Evidence
- A randomised controlled trial published in the Journal of Indian Society of Periodontology (2014) demonstrated that Neem-based oral care formulations significantly reduced plaque index and gingival bleeding scores, with efficacy comparable to chlorhexidine over a 6-week period.
- Nimbidin and nimbin — key bioactive compounds in Neem — have been shown to inhibit Streptococcus mutans and Porphyromonas gingivalis, the primary bacteria responsible for dental caries and periodontal disease (Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 2011).
- Eugenol, a principal constituent of Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans), is widely recognised in dental pharmacology for its analgesic and antibacterial properties and is used as a reference compound in cavity-causing bacteria inhibition studies (Journal of Dentistry, 2006).
- Piperine from Pippali (Piper longum) has demonstrated anti-inflammatory activity via inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokines in peer-reviewed in vitro studies (European Journal of Pharmacology, 2010).
- Alum (potassium alum) has been validated as an effective astringent for gingival tissue management in clinical dentistry, with documented use in reducing gingival inflammation and haemorrhage (Journal of Clinical Periodontology, 2008).
How to Use
Apply a pea-sized amount to a damp toothbrush. Brush thoroughly for at least two minutes, twice daily. Rinse well. For enhanced results, sprinkle a small amount of LooLoo Laung Tooth Powder over the gel before brushing.
