Natural Care Neem Oil
Cold-pressed from the seeds of Azadirachta indica, our Neem Oil is one of nature’s most potent botanical remedies. With its distinctive earthy aroma and rich amber colour, this 100% pure herbal oil has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic tradition to support healthy skin, scalp, and hair. Dense with fatty acids, limonoids, and vitamin E, it works where other oils can’t.
Key Benefits
- Acne & Blemish Control: Nimbidin and nimbin compounds deliver powerful antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action, helping to reduce breakouts, calm redness, and prevent future blemishes.
- Scalp Health & Anti-Dandruff: Antifungal properties target the root causes of dandruff and dry scalp, while fatty acids nourish and rebalance the scalp environment.
- Hair Strengthening: Rich in oleic and linoleic acids that penetrate the hair shaft to reduce breakage, add shine, and support thicker-looking hair over time.
- Skin Nourishment & Repair: High vitamin E and essential fatty acid content supports the skin’s natural barrier, helping to soothe dryness, eczema, and irritated skin.
- Anti-Ageing Support: Antioxidants in neem oil help neutralise free radicals, supporting skin elasticity and a more even complexion with regular use.
- Natural Insect Repellent: Azadirachtin, a key limonoid in neem, is widely studied for its insect-repelling properties, making it a popular addition to natural skincare and hair care routines.
How to Use
Skin: Dilute with a carrier oil (e.g. coconut or jojoba) at a 1:10 ratio and apply to affected areas. Due to its potency, a patch test is recommended.
Hair & Scalp: Mix a few drops into your regular shampoo or conditioner, or blend with a carrier oil for a pre-wash scalp treatment. Leave for 20–30 minutes before rinsing.
DIY Blending: Combine with lighter carrier oils to moderate the aroma while retaining full therapeutic benefit.

Clinical & Research Evidence
Neem oil is one of the most extensively studied botanical oils in phytomedicine:
- Antibacterial & Anti-acne Activity: A study published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology (2011) confirmed that neem seed extracts exhibit significant antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Propionibacterium acnes, the primary bacteria implicated in acne vulgaris.
- Antifungal Properties: Research in Phytomedicine (2010) demonstrated that neem oil’s nimbidin content provides measurable antifungal activity against Candida albicans and Malassezia furfur — the fungus most commonly associated with dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis.
- Anti-inflammatory Action: Nimbin and nimbidin, key tetranortriterpenoids in neem, have been shown in peer-reviewed studies to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis, producing anti-inflammatory effects comparable to aspirin in some in vitro models (Indian Journal of Pharmacology, 2004).
- Wound Healing & Skin Repair: A 2014 study in the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine found that topical neem oil application accelerated wound contraction and epithelialisation in animal models, supporting its traditional use in skin repair.
- Insecticidal & Repellent Activity: Azadirachtin, the principal limonoid in neem, is recognised by the WHO and EPA as a biopesticide. Multiple peer-reviewed studies confirm its efficacy as a natural insect growth regulator and repellent.
