Arthritis

Arthritis is a condition that causes pain, stiffness, and inflammation in the joints. The two most common forms are:

  • Osteoarthritis – results from gradual wear and tear of cartilage that cushions the joints.

  • Rheumatoid Arthritis – an autoimmune condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks the joint lining.

Both types can limit mobility and affect quality of life, often requiring a holistic approach to management.

Rheumatism

Rheumatism is a broad term used to describe various chronic conditions affecting joints, muscles, and connective tissues. These disorders are typically associated with pain, swelling, and reduced flexibility. Common examples include rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and other autoimmune-related joint conditions.

Muscular Pain

Muscular pain may arise from overuse, injury, tension, or underlying conditions such as fibromyalgia and myositis. It can be localized to a specific area (e.g., after strain) or widespread, often accompanied by stiffness, tenderness, or fatigue. Effective relief typically involves rest, gentle movement, and supportive therapies.
